The SNAP Outreach Project offers several types of trainings depending on your needs and the populations you serve. Trainings may offer basic information about the SNAP, or provide greater detail regarding pre-screenings and eligibility criteria.

Community Information Presentations

These trainings provide basic information to community groups and agencies about hunger in RI and SNAP.

SNAP Outreach Trainings

Targeted to staff and volunteers of social service agencies working with low-income individuals, these trainings cover the benefits of SNAP, eligibility and application guidelines.

Group Eligibility Presentations

Potentially eligible individuals can learn about SNAP with their peers. At these meetings, Outreach staff review frequently asked questions and share information about the benefits of receiving SNAP benefits. Application assistance may also be included in these sessions.
